Stopped in here for breakfast during a 5 week trip all over the UK. Had one of the best full breakfasts of the whole trip. Everything was perfectly cooked. My girlfriend is vegetarian and they were very accommodating and hooked her up with a vegetarian fry she said was delicious. Very friendly service. Espresso drinks were very good as well. But, here's the best part -- I walked off and forgot my camera on the back of my chair. They found it and held on to it until I was able to come back and get it the next day. Great food and coffee, reasonable prices, and kind people -- you literally can't ask for anything else.

The service is great and the food is good. It has a feeling of a family business, very casual and friendly. They serve full breakfasts here.

It's nice to watch the steady of stream of locals interact with the staff--this is clearly the kind of neighborhood institution where, like Cheers, "everyone knows your name." There are excellent panini toasted sandwiches (big enough for 2 helpings, really!) and side salads. You'd be hard pressed to find a better deal in the area, served by a friendlier group of people.
Just be mindful that the eat-in space is very small, and can feel crowded during the lunch rush, especially once a few baby buggies get packed into the mix. If the weather is decent, the outdoor tables seem like a better option. -

I give this place 5 stars. I went here on a whim that old reviews still served accurate. The place has been remodeled so looks much sharper than the older pics. The food was great, definitely a good value for what you were paying-- really good, a lot of it, and cheap! Every person that walked in while we ate, the employees greeted by name, so definitely a locals favorite. We just had breakfast sandwiches and coffee, both so hot and fresh that we had to let them cool. I enjoyed this place a lot and will visit again!

Awesome place for breakfast or lunch. Not expensive and great food. Good ingredients, and they'll basically modify any menu item however you like. (This is good because the menu is a bit disorganized and overwhelming.)
If you're there for lunch definitely try some of their specialties like the Moroccan Pancake (with chicken inside) or the Spanish Omelet. The pasta with chicken is great, too. They serve most of the lunch items with a side salad and a bit of couscous. When I'm there in the morning I usually get a latte which is always good.
The guys who work behind the counter are very friendly -- I'm an American student living nearby this semester and they usually give me a discount. Nothing to complain about.
